Gyaarah Gyaarah [Zee 5]

The popular Korean series adaptation, Gyaarah Gyaarah, is an 8-episode action thriller that weaves together past and present timelines. While the initial episodes may feel slow, and some might argue the series would have been stronger with five or six episodes, it ultimately delivers a gripping experience. By the fifth episode, the show guarantees an edge-of-the-seat thrill.

Gyaarah Gyaarah centers on the unraveling of a 15-year-old murder mystery involving a young girl named Aditi. Set against the scenic backdrop of Uttarakhand's hills, the story picks up pace when the local government introduces a new law mandating the closure of cases older than 15 years.

This impending deadline forces the police to solve Aditi's murder before the law takes effect. Can they solve it in time? Adding a unique twist to the narrative, Inspector Yug Arya, portrayed by Raghav Juyal, discovers a walkie-talkie that allows him to communicate with a police officer from the 1990s, who assists him in cracking cases in the present. However, their conversations are limited to 60 seconds each night at exactly 11:11 PM.

Can they beat the clock to uncover the truth behind Aditi's death? The series is well-supported by realistic cinematography and settings that blend seamlessly with the storyline. Although the director has reserved much of the information for a future season, the show’s second half rewards viewers for their patience with a compelling and satisfying conclusion.
